OWLSTOCK
Owlstock took place on Saturday 3rd July in the grounds of
Owletts country house in Cobham, Kent and was organised to
raise money for the local Elleanor Hospice, drrink! provided
the PA, lighting and back line and also played 2 sets to
entertain the crowds, the first set as The Damaged Dads,
which featured a five piece line up including the legendary
Mickey Norman on bass and the second set as the full on
drrinK!, 450 locals attended the event and as well as
dancing to drrinK!, they were also entertained by a young
opera singer called Mathew from the X Factor, the excellent
band ‘The Rising’ plus a display from the Eagle Heights
Owls, the weather was glorious and the band helped raise
over £3500 for the local hospice, all from donations from
the locals on the night……….
And so thanks to all the back room boys and gals who built
the stage, sorted the parking, made the signage, manned the
collection points, made the tea and drank the GUINNESS and
also for our friend Chris Spree for organising the event……..
However the highlight of Bony Flair’s night came when drrinK
were onstage and a trained gun dog arrived through the crowd
with a can of cold Guinness in its mouth.
Thanks once again to our publicist John Perkins for taking the photos there's a selection on site or see them all on on Picasa
drrinK! The boozy blues band play classic rock & blues music that appeal to all age groups.
