Dave's comb over - Shirley not!
drrinK! @ The Queen Phillippa
Good sound at the Phillippa on Saturday (19th November 2011) featuring a light show provided by Snapper John who also had his video camera out, if we can find some footage without too many bum notes we may even find ourself on YouTube again. (photos here)Just as we were thinking drrinK! had wound up for the year we've had a late booking for 3rd December at The Sheppey Sports & Social Club (ex Stevedores) we've also got a few for the 2012 diary we'll have those on the website soon.!
Rumour is on Facebook that The Kings Arms may open its doors to drrinKas soon - I don't know what it is about that pub but . . . I do know the Hill could do with a Pink Minge -
Once upon a time there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours
And think of all the great things we would do
those were the days my friend we thought they'd never end . . .(sigh)
drrinKas @ The Trafalgar
drrinK! @ The Trafalgar
Smashing support at the Trafalgar gig on Friday 11th November. The thing about drrinKas & drrinKettes they know how to support a pub band . . . none of that sitting all night with half a bitter shandy . . . oh no they're on a MISSION . . . mature, well behaved, consummate consuming drrinKas!Paparazzi John has once again provided the photos of this event. - Thanks mate.
dreaming of Russia?
News Update
Just as he was beginning to enjoy it, Pic has to miss a gig due to work commitments in Moscow.Photo on right, taken last Sunday at the Old House At Home, is all the proof you need that Pic is having a good time with drrinK!

Darren Hickman
Due to a series of coincidences (I was tempted to use the word
'serendipity' - but that would just be pretentious) we are happy to announce we have a
terrific dep for the gig at Whitstable.
Darren Hickman who also
stepped up at the Britton Farmhouse last year will be playing with us this
Sunday at the Two Brewers. Darren and Liz are great company and we look
forward to a fun gig.
Facebook seems the medium of choice at the minute and thanks to Roger the Roadie we now have a drrinKas & drrinKettes group. Paparazzi John is a valued contributor to the group so there's plenty to see at: http://www.facebook.com/groups/drrinkersndrinkettes/
go on sign-up - I did!
Announcement
Well we had Shirley back in the hot seat for a couple of gigs and the truth is we just couldn't let him go.There is something about what he does that completes drrinK! and creates the edge that makes us stand out from the rest of the pub classic rock cover bands.
I have to mention Geoff who has drummed admirably for the last three years and is one of the nicest blokes you can ever meet, we wish him well and thank him for being there.
drrinK! has now been in existence for nine years and having survived the seven year itch, we want to celebrate 2012 by giving drrinKas what you want - full on rock played with energy, character and style.
So we’re now off round the venues to get that 2012 tour on the road - hope to be lifting a glass with you soon!
June 2011
A Beer Festival seems the ideal gig for a band called drrinK! and it was so Saturday 25th June all recorded by Snapper John - see video on right. You can also view a Picasa slideshow hereThanks to Duncan and the team for providing great PA and lighting and for making us so welcome.
Thanks too, to our regular drrinKas for supporting us; a special mention to Mick, Carol and party who drove over 100 miles for a drrinK! now that's dedication.

June 2011
Good times at Dee’s party - Snapper John has uploaded 123 photos to picasa(view here)
Highlights included Dee Dee performing Black Velvet beautifully and Joe & Bill with their brilliant performance of the Doors, Riders On The Storm.
Now all looking forward to the Robin Hood gig - a beer festival - now that's worth celebrating . . . drrinK!
May 2011
We love Whitstable so much we played on 40 minutes late - apologies to the neighbours - good thing it was a bank holiday. Thanks for your support Pat, Mick, Carol and Mick hope they let you back in the B&B.You'll notice a bit of a break between gigs.
As we're now producing a good solid sound - it's time to mess it all up and stick some new material in the set list!
So expect some surprises at our next public gig at the Robin Hood.
April 2011
Glorious Easter weather saw us play outside The Old House At Home on Sunday.Missing our camera man Snapper John who is currently sunning it in Spain, my missus Jill stepped into the breach. Jill's photos can be viewed here.
Off to Whitstable next Sunday hope the weather holds for that one.
We hear there's likely to be a lot of drrinKas showing up at The Two Brewers.
Lovely - nice atmosphere Whitstable pub - so behave yourself - you Hornchurch drrinKas

As many of you already know The Rev is moving on to play lead guitar in a six piece band. We would like to thank Guy for his inspiring bass, lead and vocal performances as well as his enthusiasm, musical input and friendship.
We'll certainly keep in touch and take him up on his offer to perform first dep bass duties. As soon as Guys band publish their gig list we'll link to it here.

Pic on bass
We are all looking forward to the 2011 pub crawl and we hope all you drrinKas will be joining the binge.
drrinKas may be interested to know Shirley Temples band Goodbye Eric are playing the Highlander, Minster, on Saturday 30th October - cracking band - we'll be there how 'bout you?

Saturday 4th September 2010
The Britton Farmhouse
gig that almost never happened but thanks to Dave for
introducing Darren, bass player extraordinaire who, with only
a few hours preparation, put in an amazing performance.
I
think it's fair say the band rocked and we felt we were among
friends - thanks Jane and happy birthday Dave.
Thanks as always to John Perkins for the photography.

Unfortunately rain stopped play on the Bank Holiday Elmhurst gig. We managed
most of the first set but things took a turn for the worse when the wind got up
and soaked the gear. Drenched musicians & electrics; fingers slipping off
keyboard, frets and sticks gave us no choice but to abandon.
We would like to thank Tony & Val, Mark & Gemma, Steve & Jenny, John & Jean,
Claire, Gill, Roz, Roger and all who turned up to support us. Thanks to Shirley
for depping the drums loving your work man. Shirley is currently working with
Goodbye Eric a top class rock band go see them if you get a chance there's a gig
list on their
website.
John has provided photos of the event before the
cloudburst you'll notice the Rev. is sitting down on the job due to a painful
trapped nerve so he had a wow of a day - still played a blinder though - there's
dedication.

Enjoyed the Margate beano and a return to The Britannia, thanks to Pat, Mick & Mick who travelled from Hornchurch to get drrunK with us and of course to John & Jean who have attended more drrinK! gigs than the band! Without Johns diligent photography we would have little or no record of these gigs - Thanks mate.

OWLSTOCK
Owlstock took place on Saturday 3rd July in the grounds of
Owletts country house in Cobham, Kent and was organised to
raise money for the local Elleanor Hospice, drrink! provided
the PA, lighting and back line and also played 2 sets to
entertain the crowds, the first set as The Damaged Dads,
which featured a five piece line up including the legendary
Mickey Norman on bass and the second set as the full on
drrinK!, 450 locals attended the event and as well as
dancing to drrinK!, they were also entertained by a young
opera singer called Mathew from the X Factor, the excellent
band ‘The Rising’ plus a display from the Eagle Heights
Owls, the weather was glorious and the band helped raise
over £3500 for the local hospice, all from donations from
the locals on the night……….
And so thanks to all the back room boys and gals who built
the stage, sorted the parking, made the signage, manned the
collection points, made the tea and drank the GUINNESS and
also for our friend Chris Spree for organising the event……..
However the highlight of Bony Flair’s night came when drrinK
were onstage and a trained gun dog arrived through the crowd
with a can of cold Guinness in its mouth.
Thanks once again to our publicist John Perkins for taking the photos there's a selection on site or see them all on on Picasa
